E17 Debian repository

This repository contains CVS snapshots of the upcoming enlightenment 17 desktop shell. The packages found here were compiled for taking a look at what might await us once E17 is released. All packages are compiled and tested on Debian sid.

To use this repository, add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://debian.alphagemini.org/ unstable main

Updates:

Pinning is necessary because the version of eet found in Debian/unstable is not compatible with the current packages from this repository. Add the following to /etc/apt/preferences:
Package: * Pin: origin debian.alphagemini.org Pin-Priority: 600
It might be necessary to uninstall libeet1 and reinstall it again.

Alternatively you can install each package manually, of course.

For a start I recommend installing e17 and emodules-all.

My public key can be added using

apt-key add archive_key.asc

or by installing it via the package alphagemini-keyring.

For those who are interested: Here is a script that contains several BASH routines I've written during the time of maintaining this repository. It's aimed at maintainers who want to set up an E17 repository (maybe for another arch?) providing some time-saving features like management of a build queue, detection of updated source trees and batch-modes.
