E17 pdaXrom feed

Here I'm plublishing (another) E17 feed for pdaXrom. Packages are vastly minimized in size which means I removed files like docs, changelogs, static libraries and headers. That cuts flash memory space requirements down to a minimum. All copyright- and source-files can be found either on enlightenment.org or in the source section of my Debian repository. As with the latter repository I'm retrieving my sources from CVS thus the resulting packages might not work as expected. I'll try to test each build cycle before uploading anything but I can't guarantee stability at all - I didn't mention that E17 is in some kind of pre-alpha state. So be warned.

Simply add the following line in /etc/ipkg.conf

src e17feed http://alphagemini.org/files/feed/

E17 install package

Recently I've been working on an E17 installer for pdaXrom. It only works for C860/760 and C1000. The latter one should run on C3000 and above as well. The install script assumes you're running a single user system and thus installs all icons and menus in /home/root/.e. These installers are usually updated along with the feed and should be as up to date. To get the newest version there's always the option to do ipkg update at any time once the installer has set up E17.

Sometimes the .run files generated with makeself won't decompress properly which is a problem of pdaXrom's busybox. In that case just download the .tar.gz version, unpack it somewhere and run setup.sh.

pdaXrom E17 installer - minimal version
Contains core E17 and optionally downloads further packages during the installation process.

pdaXrom E17 installer - bare version
Doesn't contain any ikg and expects to download the needed packages from the internet.

pdaXrom E17 installer - full version
ships with all packages related to E17 and EFL, including all modules - not recommended for normal use.
